Margaret M. Kopp, of Danbury, Norwalk and Stamford, passed away quietly on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Candlewood Valley Health and Rehabilita­tion Center at the age of 91.

Margaret worked in the family owned Court Street Bakery of Stamford in her younger years before marrying the love of her life and raising a family. She later returned to work at Business Journals in Stamford/Norwalk before retiring to travel with her husband.

Margaret was the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Koopmann) Sterc and the wife of the late George F. Kopp.

Margaret will be missed by her daughter Margaret “Marge” Gallo and her husband Bernie, her son John Kopp and his wife Theresa, her brothers Fred Sterc and Walter Koopmann and sister-in-law Mildred Vojt. Margaret is survived by her grandchild­ren Kristin Vaughan, Robert Kopp, Tyler Odum, James Kopp, Brianna Kopp, Susan Little, Beth Chemero, Christophe­r Gallo, and many great-grandchild­ren and nieces and nephews. Margaret was predecease­d by her sister Frances Eggert.

Relatives and friends will be received in the Jowdy-Kane Fu- neral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury on Monday, March 18, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with Deacon William D. Murphy officiatin­g.

Interment will follow in Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery, Stamford, CT.

In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons in Margaret’s memory may be made to the New Milford Visiting Nurse Associatio­n and Hospice, 68 Park Lane Rd., New Milford, CT 06776.
