NBCUNIVERSAL DISTRIBUTES GIFTS TO KIDS
On Thursday, NBCUniversal hosted the 6th annual Boys & Girls Club of Stamford holiday celebration and toy drive event at the Stamford Media Center, where 12 children enjoyed a party with games, music and holiday treats. Following the party, the NBCUniversal team delivered gifts from the annual toy drive to the nearby Boys & Girls Club for distribution to children involved in the club’s afterschool programs.
Each year, the Boys & Girls Club gathers and shares hand-made holiday wish cards from children in kindergarten through sixth grade with NBCUniversal Stamford Media Center employees. This year, the NBCUniversal team fulfilled holiday gift wishes from 40 children, from arts and crafts kits, Legos and dolls to trucks and racecars.
“Working with the Stamford Boys & Girls Club is something we look forward to every year,” said Vinnie Fusco, vice president and general manager of Stamford Media Center. “Here at NBCUniversal, serving the Stamford community is a great passion of ours and to see the smiling faces of these wonderful children is what the holiday season is all about.”
In addition to the annual holiday toy drive, NBCUniversal employees support the yearly fall festival at the Boys & Girls Club facility in downtown Stamford.
“NBCUniversal employees always fulfill holiday wishes and make the kids feel special and welcome during this annual event. Visiting the Stamford Media Center is a treat that the kids look forward to every year,” said Jeff Pytlak, program director of the Boys & Girls
Club. “We would like to thank NBCUniversal for being a generous community partner and the Stamford Media Center for hosting our staff and children for the sixth year for a fantastic holiday party.”
