Amazon limits FedEx deliveries
Citing concerns with FedEx Ground performance, Amazon has banned third-party sellers from using the service in fulfilling orders for Amazon Prime members. FedEx Express remains an option for sellers to ship products to Amazon Prime members, with FedEx Ground available for shipments to non-Prime members who order merchandise on Amazon’s websites. Amazon orders accounted for 1.3 percent of FedEx shipments, even as Amazon builds up its own fleet of delivery vehicles and depots as an alternative to FedEx, UPS, the U.S. Postal Service and other options.
