Cosi files for bankruptcy

The parent company of gourmet sandwich restaurant Cosi filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy for the second time in four years. The Boston company has locations in Stamford, Avon, Hartford and West Hartford. Cosi’s largest unsecured creditor is Miami-based Gordon Food Service, owed $1.2 million, with The Hartford owed more than $150,000. In filing for Chapter 11 protection in 2016, Cosi closed restaurants at the Stamford Town Center mall and in Greenwich.
