REOPENING SOON
Stamford Museum & Nature Center welcoming back public
Above, Addison Barnes, 7, of Stamford, makes friends with a farm animal at the Stamford Museum and Nature Center on Saturday. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the SMNC has been closed to the public since early March. As part of the state’s Phase I plans to reopen, the center began to reopen outside exhibits to SMNC members only, with restrictions. On June 8, the SMNC will open to the public. Information and guidelines that visitors must follow can be found on the SMNC website at www.stamfordmuseum.org. At right, a reminder about proper social distancing pokes fun at a group of hens and a rooster in a chicken coop.
