Mary Patricia McMahon, longtime resident of Stamford and Stratford, passed away on March 1, 2021. She was 81 years of age.

Born in Stamford, CT, she was the daughter of John and Margaret Keenan. She attended Sacred Heart Academy and went on to St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Radiologic Technology and became a radiology technician. She worked for the former St. Joseph’s Hospital and several private medical practices in the Stamford area.

Pat, as she was known by family and friends, was a longtime member of St. Maurice Parish in Glenbrook and, later in life, Our Lady of Peace Parish in Lordship. She enjoyed playing tennis, spending time at the beach, participat­ing in a book club with friends in Oronoque Village in Stratford, and, most importantl­y, hosting birthday and holiday celebratio­ns for her family. She had a special place in her heart for St. Croix, Virgin Islands, and the many friends she made there during annual vacations and a brief residency after retiring.

She is survived by David P. McMahon, her loving husband of almost 60 years, and children David, Kevin (Anne), Brian (Pam), and Keenan McMahon, as well as her sister, Kathleen Carty. She also leaves her beloved grandchild­ren Kylie, Eric, Emily, Griffin, and Ryan McMahon and many nieces and nephews. She was predecease­d by her parents and siblings John Keenan and Rosemarie Rice.

Funeral services will be private for the immediate family and a Memorial Mass for family and friends will be held at a later date when a fitting celebratio­n of Pat’s life can be shared by all who loved her.
