Dennis Jones

Apr 14, 1964.- Apr 1, 2021. Loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, Dennis Jones of Mt. Pleasant, SC (previously of Stamford, CT), died at home at the age of 56. Born on April 14, 1964 in Brooklyn, NY to Robert and Mattie Jones, Dennis was a man of honor, integrity and full of humor. A man passionate about learning, he received several degrees in higher education and was a math teacher for 20 years, teaching at multiple schools in Connecticut and South Carolina. He was a dedicated Educator, who cared about his students as if they were his own and was recognized for his caring nature, winning two Teacher of the Year awards in South Carolina.

He was married to Malani Jones, merging his heart with hers as they became an extension of one another. He was passionate about his daughter, Darol and sons, Nathan and Jackson and so very proud of their accomplishments.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Robert Jones, his brother, Douglas Jones and sister, Claudia Jones. He is survived by his wife, Malani Jones; daughter, Darol CuebaJones; sons, Nathan O’Connor and Jackson Jones; and mother, Mattie Jones.

A small, private service will be held this week. A public memorial service will be planned for a future date. Next to his wife and children, education was Dennis’ biggest passion.
