Newfield has experienced its own challenges, SabaPrice wrote, including mold and the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Those challenges have allowed me to continue to grow,” she wrote. “I thank each and every one of you for entrusting your precious children to me. And I know I can count on you to continue to support me.”
Superintendent Tamu Lucero called Saba-Price “one of our long-standing and truly respected principals.”
Saba-Price, a graduate of Westhill High School, has worked in Stamford schools for 33 years, 18 of which were in administrative positions. Previously, she worked at Stillmeadow Elementary School, Davenport Ridge Elementary School, and Northeast Elementary School. She lives in Stamford with her husband and her two college-age boys, both of whom graduated from Stamford High School.
