Police: Man charged with child porn offenses

NEW CANAAN — A 24-year-old man from New Canaan was charged with possession of child pornography Wednesday, the New Canaan Police Department said.

Quinten Yonkers, of Weed Street, was also charged for promoting a minor in an obscene performance. He is being held on a $250,000 bond, the police department said in a statement Wednesday.

Section received a cyber tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children data system regarding child pornography within the town.

After identifying Yonkers as the offender, the department conducted multiple search warrants, including one at his home, police said.

Officers found images and videos of child pornography on cellphones and computers seized from his home, according to police.
