Thomas O’Connell

Thomas Peter O’Connell, longtime resident of Stamford, passed away on August 12th, 2021. He was 73.

Born in Staten Island, New York, he was the son of Jane Dwyer and John O’Connell. He graduated from Notre Dame University with a BA in History and Iona College with an MBA in Marketing. He was a retired corporate Marketing Manager.

He enjoyed American history, Notre Dame football, gin martinis, 60’s music, James Bond movies and spy novels. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and dedication to his family.

He is survived by his children, Kami Todd and Sean O’Connell and his grandchild Rian Todd. He was predeceased by his wife Helen O’Connell.

Friends are invited to calling hours Thursday, August 26th, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, CT. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 27th, 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s of Stamford Parish, 566 Elm St., Stamford, CT. Interment to immediately follow at Mount St. Mary’s Cemetery, 172-00 Booth Memorial Ave., Flushing, NY.
