- By Liz Hardaway

GREENWICH — Classic, antique and exotic cars will arrive later than originally scheduled for a local car show, which was pushed to Sunday, Aug. 29.

The Greenwich Police Department Scholarship Fund benefit car show was originally scheduled for Saturday, but was postponed to Sunday due to the possibility of thunderstorms.

The car show will now take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Town Hall, 101 Field Point Road. Admission is free.

Participants can enjoy various types of unique cars, motorcycles, vintage fire trucks and military vehicles.

There will also be a DJ, a 50/50 drawing, food trucks and more.

Car owners can register online until 5 p.m. Saturday at www.GPDScholarshipFund.org. Registration is $20 per vehicle. Car clubs are welcome and same-day registration will be accepted if space allows.

All proceeds will benefit the Greenwich Police Department Scholarship Fund, which grants financial assistance to the children of active Greenwich police officers for undergraduate studies.
