Police probe shooting in downtown parking lot

STAMFORD — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Tuesday afternoon in a downtown parking lot, Capt. Richard Conklin said.

Police believe one suspect fired multiple gunshots at two men walking in the parking lot at 920 Summer St. around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Planet Pizza is located at the address, which is near the corner of North Street.

The suspect and two men then fled the scene in vehicles, police said.

Police said investigators were still interviewing witnesses and reviewing area surveillance footage as of Tuesday evening.
