Ralph Pensiero, Jr.
Ralph Pensiero, Jr. of Stamford, CT, passed away September 6, 2021 at age 85. Ralph was born in Stamford, CT to the late Angelina and Ralph Pensiero on May 24, 1936.
Ralph, graduated from Stamford High school before embarking on a 43 year career with Pitney Bowes. Beginning his career as machinist on the production floor and assenting to the administrative offices completing his career as union labor relations representative.
His love for sports began in high school where he was a track and field state pole vaulting champion. Throughout his life he also participated in various bowling leagues chasing the allusive perfect game. Later in life he took up the sport of tennis (and paddle tennis) which he enjoyed well into his golden years.
For 64 years he was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed the many membership activities and dinners with his friends, who often referred to him as “the salt of the earth” for his never ending kindness to all he met.
Ralph also enjoyed traveling with his family to many exotic places near and far. His favorites always included sun and sand.
Ralph, leaves behind his loving family; his 2 children Sandra Barnaba (Len) and Michael Pensiero (Terri), a grandson Michael Barnaba, his brother Leonard Pensiero and 2 loving nieces. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by the love of his life Barbara, his wife of 58 years, as well as his sister Vincenza.
Visitation will be held Saturday September 11, 2021 from 9-10 a.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 1200 Shippan Ave., Stamford, CT followed by a religious service to be held at 10:00 a.m. If you wish to send flowers, they would be sent directly to the church. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery, Darien, CT.
