- BOYS SOCCER

Coach: Mike Summa (2nd year)

Last year’s record: 3-3-3

Key returnees: Junior Lyon Atiencia, midfielder/forward (All FCIAC and All State last year as a sophomore); Andre Quijada, senior captain, central midfielder (All FCIAC West last year); Lev Shapiro, senior captain, center back; David Lops, junior, central midfielder; Logan Goncalves, senior, right back

Key losses: Graduated 15 seniors last year. Christian Carmona; Carlos Chavarria; Josh Goncalves; Luke Goncalves; Seth Patchett; Luke Tomas goalkeeper (playing at Albertus Magnus)

Outlook: Stamford feels it has enough talent to reach the FCIAC playoffs and compete in the CIAC Class LL Tournament. The Black Knights will play as a high workrate, high energy team that is very strong defensivel­y.

GIRLS SOCCER

Coach: Tony Crocco (2nd year)

Last year’s record: 3-7-1

Key returnees: Senior captain Carly Diamond, midfielder, returning from ACL surgery, missed 2020 season; Senior captain Zoe Tongtong, left back; Senior captain Julia Salerno, forward; Junior captain Kaitlin Doyle, right Back; Paige Hochadel, Junior, center back; Alex Butler, Junior, left wing; Sydney Rikardsen, Sophomore, center mid

Key losses: Ashley Arrubla; Kendall Richmond; Bailey Getlick

Outlook: The team has more depth and talent than in past years and will be looking to qualify for the CIAC Class LL Tournament for the first time in program history.

GIRLS SWIMMING AND DIVING

Westhill / Stamford HS Coop

Coach: Rick Lewis (43rd year)

Last year’s record: N/A

Key returnees: Hannah Chuckas, All-State diving in 2020; Annie Edwards, All-State 100 free; Julia Stephanowi­cz, All-State Diving; Emmy Sigtryggss­on, 100 Fly; Peyton Sigtryggss­on, Diving

Key Losses: Maya Watson, Middlebury; Jessie Velishika, Boston College

Outlook: Things are looking good for the Westhill/ Stamford Coop. In 2020 they defeated New Canaan for the first time and with the addition of a few top-line swimmers the team looks to make an impact in the FCIAC and Class LL meets.

BOYS GOLF

Coach: Stephen Falcone (3rd Year)

Key returnees: Seniors Chris Otis and Lucy Scorziello

Key losses: Brian Somody (Attending Coastal Carolina University)

Outlook: With the change of the golf season from spring to fall, there has been a marked growth in numbers — from six to 20. This includes seniors who have come out for the first time as well as strong numbers from the younger classes. With improved depth the Black Knights look to make some noise in the FCIAC.
