Jacob Bankoski

It is with great sorrow that the family announce the passing of Jacob G. Bankoski on April 23, 2020 at the age of 26 in Cary NC. He was born in Dover NH, July 28, 1993 and raised in Stamford.

Jacob was a graduate of Westhill High School in 2011. He was active in local sports including National Lione Little League and captain of the Westhill Football team receiving All-County recognitio­n.

Jacob attended Virginia Tech, graduating with a B.S. in Mathematic­s. While in Virginia he discovered his love for cooking. He worked at Tabula Rasa on Glade in Blacksburg, Virginia. A working farm providing small plates in a farm to table style. He later relocated to Cary, NC where he continued to create in the kitchen along side his family.

He is survived by his parents Dianne Bankoski, Gregory Bankoski of Cary, NC and sister Melissa Bankoski. Aunt, Lisa Harris, cousin, Katya Harris and uncle, Howard Harris (Suzy) and family in Winter Park, FL. He has a large loving family living in NC, CA and NH.

Jacob was an easy going, fun loving, kind hearted young man who will be missed by the many lives he touched.

To honor his memory his family created the Joyfaire Foundation to bring Jacob’s ideas and dreams to life. His vision was pure; to bring people together through all creative pursuits and form amazing connection­s.

A Celebratio­n of Life and Love Services will be held on September 17, 2021. From 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the Carriage House in Waveny Park, 681 South Ave., New Canaan, CT.

Memorial Service will be held September 18, 2021. At 11:00 a.m. First United Methodist Church, 42 Cross Rd., Stamford, CT.
