John H. Halpin, Jr.

John H. Halpin, Jr., age 77, passed away on 9/12/21 in Stamford. He was born in Stamford to the late Edith and John Halpin. A graduate of Stamford High School and University of Connecticut, John was employed as a project manager for W.J. Barney Construction and then Skanska until his retirement. He is survived by his sister, Janet Halpin of Stamford, brother Robert Halpin (wife Bonnie) of North Myrtle Beach, SC, cousin Edith Yates (husband Daniel) of Brattleboro, VT and several nieces and nephews. He was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran

Church, Stamford, and more recently of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in New Canaan. In lieu of flowers, John requested contributions be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306 Service will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St., Stamford, CT. Interment to follow at Fairfield Memorial Park, Stamford.
