STAMFORD — For a second week in a row, Stamford’s Downtown Special Services District will offer free admission to its final Wednesday Nite Live concert featuring celebrated 70s rock band Jefferson Starship.

Attendees must pre-register for tickets online through DSSD’s EventBrite portal.

As was the case for the Village People’s also free Wednesday Nite Live performance, “all previously purchased Jefferson Starship general admission tickets will be upgraded to Preferred Seating tickets,” according to a press release from Stamford Downtown. Preferred seating includes admission to the venue through the VIP Gate and “preferred seats” near the stage.

The night after Jefferson Starship performs, DSSD is scheduled to put on Stamford’s last outdoor concert of the year. Ludacris, who helped pioneer mainstream success for Dirty South rappers, will headline Alive@Five on Sept. 30.

Tickets for Alive@Five cost $25 until the day of the show, when prices bump up to $35 per person. The concert is closed to individuals under 21.

All ticket holders at both Wednesday Nite Live and Alive@Five must present proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test taken within 72 hours of the concert, including minors under the age of 12 accompanying a ticketed adult to the Wednesday concerts.
