What you need to know: UConn nearly pulled off one of college football’s biggest upsets last Saturday, falling 24-22 to Wyoming. The Huskies seem to have found their quarterback in freshman Tyler Phommachanh, not to mention a special teams weapon in kick returner Brian Brewton. Vanderbilt is a 14.5-point favorite, but don’t be surprised if the Huskies make another run at their first victory in two years. The Commodores, who lost to FCS product East Tennessee State in their season opener, are an SEC team in name only.
