Here’s a look at the top performances in Connecticut high school football for Week 4:
Hunter Agosti, Trumbull: Quarterback completed 20 of 28 passes for 354 yards and three touchdowns, including scoring strikes of 45 and 82 yards in win over then-No. 7 Shelton, which had allowed just 14 points in its first three games.
Owen Bunk, Cromwell/Portland: Recorded over 10 tackles, four of which were for a loss. He also had an interception and scored a rushing touchdown in Cromwell/Portland’s 41-3 win over Haddam-Killingworth.
Henry Cunney, New Canaan: Senior quarterback was efficient, completing 12-of- 13 passes for 141 yards, with touchdown strikes to Mack Seelert and Henter Telesco as the Rams defeated North Haven 21-7.
Cam Edwards, Norwalk: The star running back added three more touchdowns to his season total, one rushing and two receiving as the Bears defeated then-No. 8 Cheshire 25-15. He now has 13 total touchdowns in four games.
Christian Garcia, Hartford Public: Passed for 231 yards and three touchdowns in Hartford Public’s 39-28 loss to Tolland.
Austyn Howe, Newington: Had 13 rushes for 52 yards and two TDs, eight receptions for 117 yards and two TDs, a passing TD, a defensive interception and two 2-point conversion runs in Newington’s 56-34 win over Middletown.
Nathan Hynes, Waterford: Passed for 133 yards on 12 completions while rushing for 138 yards on 16 carries, including a 65-yard touchdown.
John Mairano, Simsbury: Rushed for 216 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries as Simsbury defeated Glastonbury 27-19.
Mark Morrissey, St. Joseph: The linebacker had an interception, two sacks and a tackle for a loss in No. 2 St. Joseph’s 42-7 win over Xavier.
Ryan Outlow, Ledyard: Ran for three touchdowns and 214 yards on 24 carries as Ledyard beat Lyman Hall 39-20.
Mysonne Pollard, Norwalk: Had two interceptions, one of which was a pick 6, in Norwalk’s 25-15 upset win over No. 8 Cheshire.
Ethan O’Brien, Hand: Ran for 205 yards and three touchdowns on 21 carries to lead Hand to a 49-21 victory over Masuk.
Victor Rosa, Bristol Central: Ran for 323 yards and five touchdowns in Bristol Central’s 35-29 win over Farmington.
Matthew Shepard and Chris Reinhardt, Ridgefield: Shepard paced the Ridgefield defense in a 10-7 win over then-No. 5 Newtown, making big play after big play, including knocking down a pass in the end zone on a 4th-and-goal in the second quarter. Reinhardt had a game-clinching interception.
Corbin Smith, Trumbull: The senior caught touchdown passes good for 45 and 82 yards. He also had two rushing TDs, an interception on defense and made four conversion kicks as Trumbull defeated Shelton 41-7.
Joe Staton, Notre Dame-West Haven: Had 27 carries for 186 yards, with two touchdowns. One of his touchdowns came in overtime as NDWH defeated Wilton 36-35.
Ryan Thompson, Staples: The Staples QB connected for four passing touchdowns, three of them to receiver Nick Armenato, and had a 55-yard rushing TD as the Wreckers defeated Wilbur Cross 57-12.
Trevor Tompkins, West Haven: The junior ran 18 times for 141 yards, including a key 77-yard run in West Haven’s 27-20 win over Fairfield Warde. He also had an interception on defense.
Luke Watson, Farmington: Tied a Farmington record for most receiving touchdowns in a game with three. He also broke the receiving yards school record in a single game with 188 yards.
Jack Wilson, Greenwich: Had a 66-yard rushing touchdown and a 68-yard passing touchdown as No. 4 Greenwich defeated then-No. 9 Fairfield Prep 14-7.
