Kevin P. Smith passed away on October 9, 2021. He was born on March 25, 1966 in New Haven. Later his family moved to Meriden, where he spent his childhood years.

Growing up, Kevin was involved with the Boy Scouts and earned the high rank of Eagle Scout.

After graduating Lyman Hall High School, Kevin worked 6 years for the Southingto­n Associatio­n for People with Disabiliti­es, 6 years with Peter Pan bus service, and 25 years with the City of Stamford working for the Parks Department.

Kevin loved his children and loved being a part of their lives. He also loved being with his friends. He had a special heart for those with challenges.

Kevin loved working for the Parks Department, especially working the early morning shifts with the heavy equipment in getting the park beaches ready with the sand. He also loved plowing snow during the winter for friends and neighbors.

The last few weeks of his life, Kevin accepted Jesus Christ into his heart. He had a hunger for learning more and more about Christ up until his passing.

He is survived by his two children, Alexander and Kaitlyn, their mother, Angelina; his father, Patrick Smith and his stepmother, Nelida DeCalvo-Smith; brother, Patrick A. Smith and his two children Austin and Kelsey.

Kevin was predecease­d by his mother, Elizabeth G. Smith.

Family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT. Burial will held private.
