Beatrice Bongiorno Sapia “Bea Bea” died at the age of 94; she passed away peacefully on May 10, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Beatrice was born April 29, 1928 in Stamford, CT to the late John and Rose Borchetta Bongiorno.

She attended and graduated from Stamford High School in 1946.

Beatrice lived at home and worked at her father’s business The Stillwater Bakery in Stamford, upon her marriage to Samuel Sapia.

She then worked with her husband in his business, Pickwick Stationary Diner. Years later went on to work for her two brothers John and George, Bongiorno’s Supermarke­t, Beatrice is survived by her two boy’s Ronald and Peter Sapia, daughter-in-law June Sapia and granddaugh­ter Taylor Sapia.

She is also survived by brother-in-law Dominick Sapia and sister-in-law Marie Bongiorno, two cousins Antoninett­e Sapia and Gloria Sciarretta and many nieces and nephews.

Beatrice was predecease­d by her husband Samuel Sapia, her brothers Frank, John, George Bongiorno and sister Marie Berry.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Funeral arrangemen­ts were made under the direction of Lacerenza Funeral Home.
