This live version of the award-winning musical comes from executive producer Marc Platt (“Grease: Live,” “La La Land,” “Wicked”). Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the production tells the story of seven struggling artists who are trying to go after their dreams during a difficult period of political and social unrest. The cast includes Kiersey Clemons (“Hearts Beat Loud”), Brandon Victor Dixon (“Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert”), Jordan Fisher (“Hamilton,” “Dancing With the Stars”) and Vanessa Hudgens (“Second Act,” “Grease: Live”).
Won’t You BeMy Neighbor (HBO, Feb. 9)
This documentary from Oscar-winning director Morgan Neville looks at the decades-long career of America’s favorite neighbor, Fred Rogers. “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” ran from 1968 to 2001, entertaining children with a host of characters, in puppet and human form, and teaching valuable life lessons. Though the culture continued to change around him, Rogers was determined to always communicate the message of compassion and positivity.
