Years of hard partying may be pushing the pop star’s health to the brink

AFTER years of drug use, is it too late for Justin Bieber to say sorry to his battered body? The scruffy 24-year-old pop star had family and friends worried after a video circulated showing him shaking uncontrollably as he hugged a fan. Even worse, many viewers on social media believed Justin showed symptoms of meth use as he grimaced involuntarily and rubbed the girl’s back in a strange, frantic motion that he didn’t seem able to control. “It was really shocking to see,” fretted a friend. “His hands had really bad tremors. It was obvious he couldn’t control it.” But Star’s confidante speculates that the episode wasn’t due to current drug use but instead was a remnant of his hard-partying past. “Justin would never deny he went through a wild period; there wasn’t a drug he didn’t inhale, snort or swallow to get a high,” said a former party pal, while Justin’s own manager, Scooter Braun, opened up about his client’s demons. “There was a time when I would go to sleep almost every night — when he had the money to fly away from me — and I was worried every night that I was gonna lose him,” admitted Scooter, adding that he even joined Al Anon to support Justin’s recovery. “Justin looks at people like Britney Spears and Kanye West and wonders, ‘Will he end up in a psych ward with bipolar disorder, too?”’ laments a friend, noting that doctors have allegedly told Justin that even though he’s sober now, side effects may include memory loss, low sperm count and involuntary twitches. “Justin turned his life around but he wonders if it’s too late. He is really scared.”
