Even when draped in a billowing white gown, Angelina Jolie can’t hide what isn’t there! The star looked shockingly thin when spotted on a Sept. 10 backto-school shopping trip with her son Pax, 14, and sources are spilling that the stress of her custody battle with Brad Pitt is whittling away at her already skeletal frame.

“Angie is worryingly thin and none of her clothes fit properly,” an insider reveals. “She’s now wearing Shiloh and Zahara’s tops and sweaters, even their jeans. They’re tweens! When she buys them clothes, she’ll grab a bunch of the junior sizes for herself too. She’s losing weight at a drastic rate.” The insider says the 43-year-old Maleficent star’s weight has plummeted to 73 pounds, and given her diet, it’s no wonder. “She restricts what she eats to the point of starving herself,” the source dishes. “She eats crushed ice and maybe she’ll nibble on a piece of pretzel, but not even the whole pretzel. She’ll buy the kids ice cream and get a cup for herself but just swirl it around and not actually eat it. There’s no way she’s getting the nutrients she needs to maintain a healthy balance.”

HEALTH, INTERRUPTED

The source says some friends are concerned it’s the lack of nutrients that’s caused the mother of six — Maddox, 17, Pax, 14, Shiloh, 12, Zahara, 13, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 10 — to make impulsive, ill-considered decisions of late. On Aug. 22 Brad and Angelina came to an interim custody agreement, but with so much still up in the air, Angie’s anxiety levels are higher than ever. Case in point: When a judge decided that “not having a relationship with their father is harmful to [the children],” the actress abruptly fired her lawyer. “She’s behaving erratically and making snap judgments,” an insider says.

“Many fear she’s lacking the focus a nutritious diet could give her. She’s an emotional wreck and she’s never looked this fragile.”
