ON Oct. 3, Kate Hudson gushing on Instagram about her new bundle of joy, “She’s here!” Just one day earlier, she and Danny Fujikawa welcomed daughter Rani Rose — “pronounced Ronnie,” Kate noted, named after Danny’s grandfather, Ron Fujikawa. However, sources tell Star, there was one important detail the mother of three failed to mention: Days before she was ushered into the delivery room, she took a trip down the aisle! “When Danny told her that he wanted to marry her, she immediately said yes!” a source close to the 39-year-old actress gushes to Star, spilling all of the details on her and Danny’s secret wedding ceremony. “They’re madly in love.”
THE BIG DAY
With Kate ready to pop, insiders tattle that her and Danny’s surprise wedding was low-key and intimate — with her 72-year-old mother, ordained minister Goldie Hawn, officiating the ceremony. “It was very bohemian and spiritual and took place on the beach just as the sun was setting,” the friend reveals to Star. “The bride and groom went barefoot, and a lot of the guests kicked off their shoes too!” Walking down the aisle to meet Danny, 32, the boho Bride Wars beauty wore a “long and flowing dress that showed off her baby bump and flowers in her hair,” spills the pal. “She and Danny wrote their own vows, and there wasn’t a dry eye by the time they were through. It was so sweet to see them looking so much in love.” After the ceremony, adds the mole, “Everyone strolled back to the house for a sit-down Italian feast that included some
of Kate’s favorites — chicken in creamy lemon sauce and homemade lasagna! Everyone had a great time.”
MR. (FINALLY) RIGHT
A wedding and a baby in less than two years may seem like a whirlwind romance, but truth be told, Kate met her scruffy music man — he played guitar in the defunct D-list indie band Chief — over a decade ago, and said it felt like they’ve been together forever. “We’ve known each other for 15 years; he’s my best friends’ stepbrother,” Kate revealed on The Talk, referring to galpals Sara and Erin Foster. “To have that connection is really powerful. We kinda skipped through the part of knowing what the hiccups were.” Life with their new daughter is going just as swimmingly. “The first days at home with Rani have been magical,” smiled an insider. “Danny gets up for all the feedings, just to gaze at his daughter and keep Kate company. His love is just boundless.” And with two failed relationships behind her — a seven-year marriage to Chris Robinson, with whom she shares 14-year-old son Ryder, and a fizzled engagement to Matt Bellamy, father to 7-year-old son Bingham — the hopeless romantic was more than ready for Danny to put a ring on it! “When Kate falls for a guy, she’s all in,” dishes our insider. “There wasn’t even a prenup, which might sound risky to some. Kate’s worth $38 million, but they went into this marriage with total love and the understanding that it’s for keeps.”
