Is NBC ready to swap Megyn for Kelly Clarkson?

MEGYN Kelly is fighting to rebuild her career after she sparked a race-row and was axed by NBC!The controversial newswoman, 47, was forced off air and replaced with prerecorded shows after defending blackface on her 9 a.m. show on Tuesday, Oct. 23. In a last-ditch effort to save her $25 million-a-year job, the tough-talking blabbermouth tearfully apologized the next day — but it wasn’t enough. Her talent agency dropped her hours later and NBC network chief Andy Lack refused to offer any words of public support. But despite the scandal, she could walk away with upwards of $70 million! “Megyn’s lawyers will fight for the remainder of her salary,” a source dished.“But even with such a massive payout, her reputation is in tatters and she’ll struggle to get back on TV quickly.” Behind the scenes at NBC, execs are scrambling to find a suitable long-term replacement — and insiders say beloved Voice coach Kelly Clarkson is a hot favorite! “Kelly has a huge fan base and is extremely well-liked and relatable,” dished one source, while another tipster said that unlike prickly Megyn, Kelly isn’t keen to court controversy: “She’s the most unbiased person on the planet. Kelly doesn’t have an ounce of racism in her.”
