Pine is putting the tart in tartan for this gritty Netflix movie, which chronicles the First Scottish Independence waged by Robert the Bruce. Declared the King of Scots by his people, Robert is quickly deemed an outlaw by the King of England, and soon Robert’s not-so-merry band of 50 men are facing the British legions in an effort to reclaim their land and freedom. The series is heavy on muddy, bloody battle scenes, but if gore isn’t your thing, rumor has it Pine also has more than one kilt-free scene. We’re not plaid — er, mad — about that!
