AS yet another world-class assistant throws in the towel, it’s becoming (heir) apparent that Duchess Meghan may be every inch “the pushy princess” her estranged family has always claimed she was. For weeks, royal subjects have been transfixed by reports that Meghan’s attitude — and Prince Harry’s blind support — was not only driving staff to quit, but also driving a wedge between them and his kin, brother Prince William, 36, and sisterin-law Duchess Kate, 36 — with even Queen Elizabeth ordering Meghan, 37, to fall in line. But it’s Kate — who was allegedly reduced to tears during a dress fitting for Meghan’s lavish wedding — who is now making the most shocking move of all and extending an olive branch to her pregnant sister-in-law. “It’s no secret that they’ve had their difficulties and it’s been a source of great stress for them both over the past couple of months,” an insider dishes.“But Kate is a kind person who, deep down, likes Meghan and wants to get along with her.” Now, Kate is telling her side of the story, and insists she’s “absolutely” excited for Meghan and Harry, 34, to welcome their first child. “It’s such a special time to have little kiddies,” she told a royal fan. “And a cousin for George and Charlotte, and Louis. It’ll be really special.” Now, sources say the diplomatic mom of three is determined to put the drama behind them this Christmas and ensure there’s peace within the royal family this holiday. “Things are far from perfect, but she and Meghan have a lot in common and got along famously when they first met,” explains the confidante. “It’s been a tough transition for Meghan , but it would be a shame if they didn’t try to work this out — for everyone’s sake!”
