Star’s insider says Angie is wasting no time when it comes to getting back in the dating game.
WHEN Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt in September 2016, she could never have imagined that it would turn out to be the most torturous — and protracted — split in Hollywood history. So the Maleficent star must have breathed a sigh of relief on April 12, when an L.A. judge ruled that the warring couple can go back to being officially single, even though they’ve yet to finalize their divorce settlement. Now, after more than three years of lying low and focusing on her children, Angie is finally free to set her sights on finding love once again. “It’s been a horrible few years for Angelina, who never expected her life would turn out this way and she’d end up a single mom of six at 43,” an insider tells Star. “But she’s worked through her disappointment and grief and is eager to move on.”
ON THE DOWN-LOW Angie, it appears, was looking for a new man even before she got the good news about the legal move — known as bifurcation — which she and Brad, 55, had both requested. “She’s already been out on a couple dates, mostly with businessman types,” the source spills. “But she’s kept it hyper hush-hush from the get-go cause she didn’t want people to know she was seeing nyone else before the divorce was final. Angie hasn’t ven told friends their names — though she’s hinted hat she’s enjoying the attention!” The A-list actress and director, who also works relessly as a humanitarian and U.N. envoy, would be well matched with someone whose ésumé is as impressive as hers. “Angie saw how Miranda Kerr went from Orlando Bloom to marrying a tech billionaire [Evan Spiegel, the ounder of Snapchat], and she probably imagines erself making the same kind of power move,” attles the source, who says friends have mentioned moguls like Twitter cofounder Jack Dorsey and esla CEO Elon Musk as possible suitors. “Elon might be a little too quirky, even for Angie. Ideally, she wants someone who checks all the boxes in terms of money, philanthropic works — and good looks.”
THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT Meanwhile, Angie’s brood — Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 12, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 10 — are likely grappling with mixed emotions. “Maddox would be the most anxious about it, since he was front and center in her breakup with Brad,” the pal explains. “But all the children are now old enough to understand what their mom has been through and be cautiously happy for her.” As for Brad, who’s still locked in a bitter battle with Angie behind closed doors over custody and the division of their $500 million fortune, “he’s looking forward to publicly dating without lawyers breathing down his neck — but not as much as Angie is. She’s not above a little revenge romance to hammer home that she’s doing just fine without him!”
