Jes­sica Biel back­tracked on her con­tro­ver­sial stance on vac­ci­na­tions af­ter she was slammed for join­ing Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lobby against a Cal­i­for­nia bill that has been op­posed by an­ti­vac­cine ad­vo­cates. “Jes­sica had no idea she would get so much back­lash,” a source spills. “She was naive about how pas­sion­ate peo­ple are about this is­sue, but re­al­ized she had to clear things up.” The 7th Heaven alum, 37, who’s mom to son Si­las, 4, with hus­band Justin Tim­ber­lake, is­sued a mea culpa on In­sta­gram on June 13, say­ing she wasn’t an an­ti­vaxxer but was concerned about how the bill would limit med­i­cal ex­emp­tions. “My dear­est friends have a child with a con­di­tion that war­rants an ex­emp­tion,” she ex­plained. “I be­lieve in giv­ing doc­tors and the fam­i­lies they treat the abil­ity to de­cide what’s best for their pa­tients.”
