SO much for “I’ll Be There for You.” It’s been just over a year since Jennifer Aniston announced her separation from Justin Theroux last February, but their uncoupling hasn’t put a damper on the Leftovers star’s friendship with Jen’s longtime BFF, Courteney Cox. After Courteney, 55, commented on Justin’s May 27 Instagram post, calling him “bro,” a Star source says that Jen, 50, was bothered by how chummy she and Justin, 47, have gotten since their split. “Her wounds haven’t healed,” tattles the tipster,

adding that Jen feels especially burned, since she remained loyal to Courteney by ditching her former costar’s ex-husband, David Arquette, when they called it quits in 2010. Though a rep for Jen denies Star’s story, a source insists, “Jen would never get close to a pal’s ex.” Making matters worse is that Courteney knew how Jen tried to avoid the New York City-based actor at all costs when she was recently in the Big Apple filming her upcoming series, The Morning Show. “Jen confided in Courteney about how she declined parties and social gatherings just to make sure her and Justin didn’t end up in the same place at the same time. Courteney knows how bad things are between them,” says the source. Still, Courteney doesn’t see the social media snafu as a big deal. “Courteney thinks Jen’s being petty and controlling by accusing her of disloyalty,” adds the source. “Courteney just rolls her eyes and says she won’t be dictated to. But it’s caused a real issue between the ladies. Jen just thinks what Courteney’s done is inappropriate on so many levels.”
