IT wasn’t hard to read between the lines. Spotted on a shopping run in L.A. last month, Jennifer Garner looked happy, healthy and positively glowing in black leggings and a striped sweater that showed off her flawlessly fit physique — and what looked like the beginnings of a baby bump! Nearly one year into her romance with businessman beau John Miller, Jennifer’s over the moon, madly in love and ready to take the next steps. “They’ve been keeping it hush-hush, but it seems John’s already asked Jen for her hand in marriage,” an insider tells Star, adding that it might not be the only secret they’ve been keeping. “Friends are buzzing that Jen could already be pregnant. In recent weeks, she’s been wearing oversize tops and loose-fitting clothing, but now it seems she’s not trying to hide anything anymore — and neither is John. He’s constantly putting his arms around Jen’s stomach, like a protective father-to-be.”
MR. PERFECT
When their relationship was made public last October — around the same time Jennifer was finalizing her drawn-out divorce from Ben Affleck, and John was formally ending his nineyear marriage to violinist Caroline Campbell — the Valentine’s Day actress, 47, was still taking it slow. “But love just ran its course, and things got serious really fast,” says the pal. The 40-year-old Stanford Law alum turned CEO (he owns Miso Robotics and 50 Cali-Burger restaurants) “is a breath of fresh air for Jen, even more so because he’s not an actor. It didn’t take her long to realize he’s The One.” There’s another reason John checks all the boxes for Jen: He’s a pro at parenting. A doting dad to a 12-yearold son and a 10-year-old daughter, John gets along famously with Jen’s children, Violet, 13, Seraphina, 10, and Samuel, 7. “They adore him,” reveals the insider, who says John’s been spending a lot of time at Jen’s Pacific Palisades mansion, where everyone stays up late playing board games. “They’re already blending into one big, happy family,” says another source. “Violet and Seraphina love babies, so having another brother or sister to play with would be so sweet.”
HAPPY DAYS AHEAD
Pals are predicting that the third time will be the charm for Jen, who ended her four-year marriage to Whiskey Cavalier star Scott Foley in 2004 and exchanged vows with Ben the following year. “If anyone deserves happiness, it’s Jen,” says the insider. “After all she’s been through with Ben — the drinking, the relapses, the public humiliation — finding a stable, standup guy like John is a dream come true.” And because they’ve shunned the spotlight and kept their romance under the radar, “it would be just their style to have an intimate, low-key wedding,” surmises the source, adding that Jen would want her and John’s kids to be part of the ceremony — and of course they’d invite a few A-list friends, like Reese Witherspoon and Bradley Cooper. “It’s amazing how much Jen’s life has changed in the last year. Now she can’t wait to start the next new chapter.”
