The model’s career may be red-hot, but behind the scenes, she’s struggling to find someone to fill the void.
SINGLE and loving it? Not so much. While Kendall Jenner’s career may be on fire, her love life is less than sizzling — and a Star insider says she’s officially over the lonesome solo life. “She’s always felt that, of all her sisters, she’s the one working so hard to carve out a career,” says a source. “Yet she’s also the one who’s alone on Saturday nights — and she hates it.”
ON THE PROWL
The sought-after model, 23, has often tried to portray herself as the most independent of her famous family. But the lonely jet-setting and breakneck work schedule — which she’s admitted creates swirls of anxiety — isn’t just getting old, it’s keeping her from what she really wants: a new love interest. “Kendall barely knows what city she’s in anymore, let alone who she’s meeting,” says a source. “By the end of the day, she can’t recall a single face, whether it belonged to a cute guy or not. She’s started putting the word out to all her friends to help set her up!” Shortly after Kendall split from basketballer Ben Simmons in May, she jetted to Cannes for the glitzy film fest and AmfAR gala, showing a lot of leg on the red carpet and staying in the south of France even after bestie Bella Hadid left, to continue partying — with the bikini and yacht posts to prove it. If all her mirror shots and seaside selfies were a ploy to get Ben to take notice, it worked — he threw a like on Kendall’s Instagram a few weeks later, before the gesture mysteriously vanished. But a pal claims she’s not solely after her ex’s attention. “Her game plan is to post sexy pics and hope someone good slides into her DMs,” says the friend.
“It gives her satisfaction that she can still attract Ben from afar — but she’s been down that road before and would rather not revisit it.”
Still, claims the friend, Kendall’s paying plenty of mind to her ex files. Reports of Ben’s recent single-scene appearances, like his night out in Hollywood with Khloé Kardashian’s ex, Tristan Thompson — as well as photos of her previous b-baller ex, Blake Griffin, partying with models on a yacht in Ibiza — have only upped the ante for Kendall’s manhunt. Once the seemingly shiest of her sisters, Kendall has littered her Insta in recent weeks with provocative pics, from coy bathtub shots to out-of-character, come-hither poses. “She’s started realizing she’s got to loosen up a little,” says the friend. “She knows she can come across as a cold fish, and deep down she wants love.”
MODEL RELATIONSHIP
In addition to soliciting her friends for setups, Kendall’s actively sought advice from close pals Justin and Hailey Bieber, whose bond she admires. Says an insider, “She’s known both of them for ages — she and Justin even had a ‘thing’ years ago — and she respects what they have going.”
After recently crashing one of Justin’s recording studio sessions, where she spent some QT with the couple, she came away “with a lot of spiritual advice,” says the source. “Justin and Hailey have been telling her she needs to find a nice churchgoing guy, and Kendall has to wonder if they’re right. She really admires how hard Hailey and Justin have worked on their marriage — and can’t help but feel a little envious that Hailey’s got someone to snuggle up to at night.”
