WHAT DOES OLIVIA KNOW?
It depends on who you ask. According to some people in Olivia Jade’s inner circle, the vlogger — who had to publicly apologize after bragging on her YouTube channel that she hated school and was only at USC for the boys and the parties — knew her parents had pulled strings but wasn’t aware they’d gone to illegal lengths. “Her parents talked freely around her,” says a source. “She knew they’d called in some favors, but she thought it was a common thing for people with money to do.” Lori and Mossimo allegedly paid $500,000 to pass off Olivia (and her sister Isabella) off as recruits for the USC crew team, even though neither had participated in the sport. But other friends claim Olivia was clueless. “They insist she knew nothing about what was going on,” says the source, “and say she’s the innocent victim in all of this.” Either way, she’s now in a powerful position, and if she wants to repair her ruined rep, she’ll have her day in court. “Olivia could sing like a canary on the stand,” says the insider. “She wants to clear her name, even if it’s at the expense of her parents’ freedom.”
