Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler’s relationship is being put to the test — because of his new role as Elvis in Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming biopic. “Austin signed his soul away,” reveals a pal. “He’ll be committed to the project for up to a full year, not to mention months of choreography and prep ahead of the filming in Australia.” The Spring Breakers actress, 30, and the actor, 28, have been dating since 2011, and Vanessa has always been the bigger star. But since Austin received rave reviews for his role in this year’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and then signed on to play The King, the High School Musical alum is starting to feel she’s sidelined. “She doesn’t begrudge Austin’s desire for success,” adds the pal. “But everybody’s worried Austin’s big break is going to be the last straw for them as a couple.”
