TEAMING UP ONCE AGAIN

THE EXES COME TOGETHER TO MAKE THE NEXT BIG BLOCKBUSTER — WILL IT BE BASED ON THEIR RELATIONSHIP?

Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are spending more and more time together now that they’re both single — but this time, it’s because they’re in talks to work together on a movie project. And the content might surprise friends, family and fans. “Jen and Brad have been toying with the idea of costarring in a film loosely based on their own love story and the subsequent breakup,” says an industry insider. “The only worry is that it’s sure to reopen old wounds, which Jen in particular isn’t sure she’s ready for. Brad is cajoling her to do it though — he thinks it’ll be cathartic for both of them.” The idea of the former couple, who were married from 2000 to 2005, working together on a film isn’t too farfetched. In 2001, the Friends alum, 50, and the Ad Astra star, 55, founded Plan B, a production company; but after their split, Brad became the sole owner. “Jen was heavily involved in Plan B before the divorce, and there are some movies from back then that could be resurrected,” says the source. “But there are a lot of new scripts and pitches coming in too, so Jen is helping Brad go through them and figure out what they can both work on.” They may have already found the perfect project. Earlier this year, Brad and Jen were both at Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles, where they were careful to leave out of different exits to avoid being seen together. In fact, the actor waited in his car for 20 minutes for his ex to show up before walking in.

The time has never been better for Jen and Brad to merge professionally, now that they have more free time following their respective splits from Justin Theroux and Angelina Jolie. But despite what many will think, their partnership wouldn’t be about revenge — it would be about combining their talents and making money. “This has been in the works for a while,” insists the informant. “They’re deadly serious about finding the perfect role, or roles, that appeal to both of them.”
