WHO NEEDS A HUGE ROCK? AMID ENGAGEMENT RUMORS, ROB PATTINSON’S GIRLFRIEND SUKI WATERHOUSE DEBUTS A BAUBLE.

IT was a rare case of PDA when Robert Pattinson was spotted strolling arm in arm with girlfriend Suki Waterhouse in London’s Notting Hill neighborhood on July 21. The pair, dating since 2018, were dressed down in T-shirts and sunglasses, heading out for a lunch date. And what was that? As she tucked her arm into his, the 28-year-old actress flashed a ring on her left ring finger, leading some to believe that long-standing rumors of an engagement are true. “Rob and Suki have been unoff icially engaged since Christmas, when he popped the question after asking her parents’permission,” an insider confirms to Star. “It’s an open secret among their friends and family, but they’re in no hurry to scream it from the rooftops or anything!” Holed up in London since shooting of the latest Batman flick was delayed by the pandemic, Rob barely mentioned his love in a June interview with GQ — no shock, coming from the ultraprivate star. The former Twilight heartthrob, 34, had elaborated on his romantic reticence in April. “If you let people in, it devalues what love is,” he explained, adding, “I can’t understand how someone can walk down the street and hold hands.”

Still, there they were for all to see, along with Suki’s bauble. “Rob’s an extremely sentimental guy, so it’s likely the ring holds some significance or is a family heirloom,” says the insider. “Or he’s chosen something with a spiritual meaning.” And while the insider says the pair haven’t started making wedding plans yet, they’ll get there eventually: “They’re planning for the longterm, and it’s moving along just great as it is.”
