Now sources are telling Star the 50-year-old’s own love of suds is causing some concern in his off-screen life. According to an insider, when the dad-of-three isn’t working, the beer starts flowing. “He’s not putting himself in dangerous situations,” adds the insider. “He’s just slumped on the couch, watching sports for hours, only getting up to head to the fridge for another cold one.”

Still, the actor — who holed up in the seaside village of Dalkey, Ireland, early in the pandemic — is frustrating those around him. “His wife, Luciana, and friends can’t understand why Matt always needs a beer in his hand to unwind,” explains the insider. “It’s a seven-day-a-week situation.”
