Prince George: The Playground Hero!

The future king is already stepping into his role as leader in protecting the environment.

Move over, Greta Thunberg! There’s a new kid on the climate-change beat — and he’s Prince George! In a new interview, proud pop Prince William revealed that the once-shy schoolboy has become an eco-warrior, angered by scofflaws tossing garbage on the ground. “So George at school recently has been doing litter picking,” the dad-of-three explained of a new program at the 8-year-old’s $27,000-per-year Thomas’s Battersea school in southwest London. “Talking to him the other day, he was already showing that he was getting a bit confused and a bit sort of annoyed by the fact they went out litter picking one day, and then the very next day...pretty much all the same litter they picked up was back again.” The 39-year-old credits grandpa Prince Charles for igniting George’s passion for the environment. Calling his dad “ahead of the curve” on the dangers of climate change, William said, “if we’re not careful, we’re robbing from our children’s future through what we do now. And I think that’s not fair.” ★
