TYRA’S DANCING DAYS OVER?

NBA star Iman Shumpert won the mirror ball trophy on Nov. 22’s finale of Dancing with the Stars. But insiders tell Star the future of the ABC dance contest’s host is not so shiny. Supermodel Tyra Banks, who took over after fan-favorite Tom Bergeron’s shocking 2019 ouster, may be asked to leave the ballroom after ratings tumbled this season. “Producers thought Tyra would draw a younger audience, coupled with younger, hipper contestants, and really move the show forward,” says a TV insider. “But they didn’t realize the backlash from firing Tom.” While fans didn’t click with Tyra, competitors had no such problems with the 47-year-old. “Tyra’s worked really hard to win over the pros, judges and crew on the show,” adds a second source. “She’s liked on the set — but she felt pressure to turn the show around.” ★

“Producers want to retool the show again,” says a source. “And Tyra isn’t likely to be part of it.”
