ROYAL CHRISTMAS!

AFTER SNEAKING OFF TO JORDAN FOR A SECRET FAMILY TRIP, THE DUKE AND DUCHESS SHARE A VACATION SNAP ON THEIR CARD.

-

HAPPY HOLIDAYS! On Dec. 10, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released their 2021 Christmas card — and it’s a keeper! Rather than share the usual snap taken at Anmer Hall, their country home in Norfolk, England, in October, William and Kate snuck off to Jordan for a private family holiday and took this year’s adorable shot with Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3, dressed in warm-weather gear. In a first, future king William, 39, is even wearing shorts!

The country on the Arabian Peninsula has special meaning for future queen Kate. The 39-year-old lived there for a few years when her father, Michael Middleton, worked for British Airways. Both she and William, who visited on an official tour in 2018, were eager to show it off to their kids. “The Roman ruins were a highlight for George,” an insider tells Star. “Charlotte loved swimming in the Red Sea.” The family stayed in a luxe home, according to the insider, complete with pool, movie room and personal chef.

Now that they’re back in chilly England, however, the family is gearing up for Christmas. “George, Charlotte and Louis had fun decorating the 10-foot tree at Anmer Hall,” adds the insider. “They are so excited about Santa paying them a visit on Christmas Eve!”

Though at 95, Queen Elizabeth II has scaled back many of her commitments, as of now her traditional holiday festivities at her nearby Sandringham estate are still on track. “For the kids,” says the insider, “it’s simply magical. ★
