SPRING Brides

IT’S ALMOST THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN — AND THESE CELEBS CAN’T WAIT TO WALK DOWN THE AISLE TO WEDDED BLISS.

KATY PERRY is no bridezilla. Instead, in planning her vows to love of five years, Orlando Bloom, the 37-year-old refers to herself as a “bridechilla.” She’s had to be. The pair, engaged for three years, have had a bumpy road to the altar, with the pandemic repeatedly putting the kibosh on their planned destination wedding. “Every couple of months it’s like, ‘New variant! New variant! New variant!” she joked during a recent radio appearance.

Now sources tell Star the American Idol judge and her fiancé, 45 — who welcomed daughter Daisy in August 2020 — are ready to reboot their nuptials once again. “They’ve scaled back on the size of the party,” reveals an insider. “But they’ll invite friends and family to help them celebrate.” And a destination do is still on the books. “Mexico and Hawaii are strong contenders,” adds the source.

The original plan involved marrying in Japan in the summer of 2020, but Covid of course scuttled those arrangements. “They’re more than fine with waiting to have the wedding of their dreams,” explains the insider of the duo, who have both been married before.

“This is their forever wedding.”

The simple ceremony will include some Buddhist traditions to honor Orlando’s faith, says the source, and his son with ex Miranda Kerr will play a part.

And while she’s not a bridezilla, the bride is still Katy Perry.

Which means her dress will be over-the-top fabulous. “Plus she’ll have another one for the reception!” ★
