UNCHARTED Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg In theaters Feb. 18, PG-13

The popular video game series is now a big-screen blockbuster! Street-smart Nathan Drake (Holland) is recruited by treasure hunter Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Wahlberg) to recover a missing gold fortune amassed by Ferdinand Magellan — while also tracking clues that could lead to Nathan’s long-lost brother. (Antonio Banderas plays Moncada, whose family has also been seeking the treasure...for the past 500 years!) From Super Mario Brothers to Assassin’s Creed, Hollywood has had bad luck when adapting video games, but we’re willing to take the risk on Uncharted. Why? Well, Holland is hotter than ever after the massive success of Spider-Man: No Way Home — and the intergenerational bantering between Nathan and Sully helps fill the Peter Parker–Tony Stark void in our lives. Plus, the plot’s combination of history, mystery and globetrotting action has us Indiana Jones-ing for a more modern take on Raiders of the Lost Ark.
