DISAPPOINTS IN BED!

-

WHERE’S all the sex? After season 2 of the Regency-era bodice-ripper Bridgerton dropped March 25, some fans were disappointed that the steamy series had lost that season 1 heat. “I thought the sex in #Bridgerton season one was too much but I think the sex in season too is severely lacking!” griped one viewer of the Netflix hit based on the novels by Julia Quinn. “We want moderation and balance, not starvation!”

While season 1’s Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon (we miss you, RegéJean Page!) got busy everywhere from the library to the great outdoors, season 2’s Kate (Simone Ashley) and Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) barely get past the heaving bosom stage until episode 7! It’a all part of the plan, series creator Chris Van Dusen promised reporters. “It was never about quantity for us,” he told reporters. Assuring that the intimate scenes are only used to further the story, he added, “We’ve never done a sex scene for the sake of doing a sex scene, and I don’t think we ever will.” Tell that to Sir Anthony’s butt! ★
