The pair have been dating since 2017, when Erica was managing his restaurant The Woods in Jupiter, Fla. “Tiger won’t wed without legal paperwork to protect his finances and assets,” reveals the source. “He’s been burned before and doesn’t want to get taken to the cleaners again.” In 2010, Tiger reportedly paid out $100 million in his divorce from ex-wife Elin Nordegren, with whom he shares two children, daughter Sam, 14, and son Charlie, 13. “Erica is okay with making a deal but not if it leaves her high and dry, so she’s digging in hard for the best terms,” adds the source. “She feels he owes it to her.” The 37-year-old never left Tiger’s side after his near-fatal car crash in 2021. “The way Erica sees it, she’s proven that she’s not a gold digger,” the source notes. “She deserves a little security should things not work out.” ★
