Now sources tell Star the American Idol judge wants to play the Cleopatra actress herself! “Katy is currently talking to writers in hopes of coming up with a script for the big or small screen,” says a source. “She has that same classic beauty and sexy curves.”

“Like most people, I was attracted to her glamour,” the 37-year-old has said of the brunette beauty. Known for her over-the-top jewelry collection, seven marriages and stints in rehab, Taylor was also a passionate AIDs advocate and celeb-fragrance pioneer before her death in 2011. “I always felt a kinship towards her.”
