HARRY BARELY HANGING ON

THE FORMER ROYAL SEEMED LOST DURING HIS LATEST SIT-DOWN INTERVIEW.

-

Is Prince Harry doing OK? That was the question on the minds of many royal watchers following his one-on-one interview with the Today show’s Hoda Kotb April 19. Speaking from the Netherlands, where he and wife Meghan Markle attended the Invictus Games, the 38-year-old appeared troubled when asked if he’s found peace since stepping down from royal duties and relocating to the U.S. two years ago. “I don’t know how many people feel truly peaceful,” was all he could manage to say. “You know?”

Long an advocate for mental health, Harry, who has been open about his own issues, also fretted there is “so much to worry about” in the world, adding, “I need to make sure that I don’t have burnout.” And the dad of two even displayed what could be seen as paranoia when discussing his 96-year-old grandmother Queen Elizabeth. “Being with her, it was great,” the ex-soldier said of a top-secret visit en route to Holland, before cryptically noting he was “making sure she’s protected and has got the right people around her.”

An insider says Prince William and their dad Prince Charles took offense to that comment: “They see it as a huge dig, implying that they’re not capable of doing so.”
