He’s got baby fever — at 72! Some eyebrows were raised when May/December couple Katharine McPhee and David Foster welcomed their first child in February 2021. Now sources tell Star the music producer has found a renewed zest for fatherhood, and has told his 38-year-old wife he’s ready for one more! “Katharine wasn’t going to push David into anything,” says the source of the American Idol alum, “but she’s ecstatic he’s come around on his own.” David, also a dad to five grown daughters, has crunched the numbers — he’ll be 90 at baby’s high school graduation! Still, says the source, “he feels if anything happens to him health-wise, he’s built a great family and pillar of support around Katharine.” ★
