ROYAL REALITY STAR?
For once, a royal kerfuffle that doesn’t involve Prince Andrew or the Duke and Duchess of Sussex! Mike Tindall, husband of Princess Anne’s daughter, Zara, has signed on for the Australiabased ITV survival show I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here — and the 43-year-old failed to get permission from King Charles.
“Mike has commited a major royal faux pas,” an insider tells Star, saying the show “could be embarrassing for The Firm.” Still, it’s not the former rugby player’s first foray into reality TV. He appeared in a sports competition called The Jump — with the late Queen’s permssion — and guested on Bear Grylls: Mission Survive. “No one blames him for wanting to do it,” says the insider.
“It would be fun for him to hack his way through the jungle and prove even members of the royal family can rough it.” Then there’s the reported $170K payday. As non-working royals, Mike and Zara, who share three kids, have to earn their own living! ★
