MATT LEBLANC: CURSED BY FRIENDS!
A million dollars an episode and a guaranteed place in pop-culture history may sound great, but Matt LeBlanc — a.k.a Joey Tribbiani on Friends for 10 years — still sn’t happy. Sources tell Star the 55-year-old was devastated by his February split from TV producer Aurora Mulligan and has all but given up on love. “He’s goes around moaning he’s been cursed by Friends,” says an nsider. “He goes on dates, and they just want to talk about Friends and his castmates, and Joey this and that. He’s sick of it and has stopped trying.”
The actor, who shares a teen daughter with ex-wife Melissa McKnight, has become a bit of a recluse, adds the insider. “He gets recognized when he’s out and hears the whole, ‘Oh look, there’s Joey’-type comments,” explains the insider. “People stop and stare, and that’s been a little tough on Matt. He’s just trying to live his life.” ★
